The group finds an exit door to the building, but it is jammed from the outside. The Collector kills Paz and easily beats Arkin in a fist-fight due to only having one functional arm. As the Collector is about to kill Arkin and Elena, Lucello appears, having survived the trap by using one of the dog corpses. He fights the Collector in a knife fight but loses; however, as a final act, he holds the Collector in place so that Arkin can stab him multiple times. Having injured the Collector, Arkin is now able to beat him by throwing his body in a chute and lighting it on fire.

Upon entering the hotel, the team is attacked by people with half faced masks stapled to their head who the Collector had captured and driven insane with drugs, forcing the team to shoot them. Arkin takes the opportunity to escape from Lucello. At this point, the movie jumps among 3 groups: Elena trying to find an exit, Arkin trying to escape, and the mercenary team led by Lucello trying to find Elena. While wandering the hotel, the viewer sees various horrors of the Collector, such as live humans being experimented on and human body parts assembled in artistic ways that resemble insects. Arkin narrowly escapes the Collector several times but is unable to find an exit. Members of the mercenary team are killed or captured one by one by the Collector and his traps. The first member is impaled standing up through his legs and arms from steel spears that shoot down from the ceiling. Another member is impaled by a hanging meat hook that the Collector throws down. Elena then opens a trunk and encounters a prisoner named Abby who claims to be the Collector's "favorite" and is reluctant to break his rules. When Abby notices Elena adjusting her hearing aid she then panics claiming that Elena isn't strong enough for the collection and that she wasn't suppose to escape. She runs from Elena screaming, "The Collector was testing her." Elena and Abby are separated when the Collector finds them.

At the hospital,the collection Arkin is arrested by police and put under constant surveillance due to a known criminal record. He is approached by Lucello, the right hand man of Elena's wealthy father (Christopher McDonald). Lucello has hired a team of mercenaries to hunt down the Collector and save Elena before she's killed. Lucello implies that if Arkin leads them to the Collector's hideout that he'll save Arkin from his criminal record. Having recorded the turns by a series of cuts on Arkin's arm from the Collector kidnapping him the first time, Arkin is able to lead them to the Collector's base, an abandoned hotel in a desolate part of town. When Arkin refuses to go inside, Lucello double-crosses Arkin and forces him at gunpoint to guide him through the hotel. Elena tears a part of her jeans and pushes it through a hole in the red trunk granting her access to grip the latch and escape from inside. The Collector comes back into the room and notices that Elena has escaped the trunk so he lets loose several spiders hoping it will reveal her hidden location. At the same time, Elena is able to escape from the Collector while he is distracted by surveillance alarms from the team of mercenaries entering the hotel.

The Collection

The Collection opens with a series of television broadcasts which make clear that the Collector has become a frequent serial killer and the focus of a massive police manhunt. As in the first film, the Collector kills all victims but one, which he kidnaps. Arkin (Josh Stewart), returning from the first film, is the most recent known victim. Elena Peters (Emma Fitzpatrick) is taken by her friends to a secret party at an undisclosed location. Elena witnesses her boyfriend, who bailed out on their date the same night having relations with another woman. She then gets upset punches him breaking his nose and leaves the crowded dance floor entering an isolated room. She then discovers a red trunk and opens it to find severely injured Arkin. Arkin then grabs Elena and they both dodge a steel spear that shoots from the wall. Elena frightened runs from the room and steps through a trip wire igniting a series of traps
